First ride with the elevator 😱😱

During our training with Dante he was very sceptical about coming into the elevator. Creating a positive association with things helps dogs not to be afraid in their adult life. I know many dogs that are still very afraid of stairs, elevators, different surfaces ,so introcude it early if you can. Be creative ! Socialization for puppies is super important! Socialization is not only with other dogs ,but everything that surrounds us.

Leash walking training is not all about treats—they are only an addition. Before we even start teaching our dogs to walk on a loose leash , our dog’s needs have to be satisfied and fulfilled. If we don’t satisfy our dog's needs, then we cannot expect any training to work.

Let's understand our dogs first: understand their emotions, communication, their needs, and satisfy their drive. Otherwise, we’ll be trying to "fix" dog's behavior for the rest of it's life.

We have to let a dog be a dog and understand what is truly important to them. I don’t believe that a dog should be glued to our leg all the time, staring at us for the whole duration of the walk; they should actually enjoy their time outside. Teach them fun and attention on you outside and then loose leash walking with happen naturally.

During a behavioral consultation, I look at the dog as a whole. I don’t focus only on how to "fix" a behavioral problem; I look at what is behind it and why the dog is doing what it’s doing. We need to harmonize with our dogs and give them freedom and time. After all, dogs are not robots.

Dog socialization is a crucial aspect of dog training.

🌟If done right, it’ll ensure the dog into a calm and relaxed city dog, who learns how to be comfortable in a variety of situations, is not stressed or overexcited and so listens to your cues in every environment.

💗During the workshop you will learn how to properly socialize your dog with other dogs and new unfamiliar objects and surfaces.

🐶Workshops are held in small groups (max. 4 puppies) in the Valbyparken. These are workshops unlike any other, because we do not teach obedience, but we show what activities are necessary for the proper development of your dog. Workshops are varied with fun combined with sensory stimulation, socialization and elements of loose leash training.

🐾You will learn how to react while meeting other dog in many different situations. But because proper socialization is not only about meeting other dogs you will learn also how to socialize your puppy to unknown, new situations, scary things, loud sounds, different surfaces, etc.

💕Socialization workshop is for puppies in age of 3-8 months old.🐶

The class is held in English.

📅We meet on Saturday Nov 8th at 2.30pm in Valbyparken. The class lasts 1 hour.
It is a last socialization workshop for 2025!
